North Yorkshire County Council has lobbied the Government for better funding for the county’s schools.
North Yorkshire is ranked 129th out of 149 local authorities for secondary school allocation and the lump sum for rural schools has halved. Declining pupil numbers and rising costs are problems shared by many small and rural schools across the country.
