Funding available for the employment of a knowledge exchange and commercialisation fellow at your research organisation. The aim is that the fellow will facilitate the development of commercial opportunities for STFC-funded research. This will support economic, societal and environmental impact. Funding will initially be available at 80% of the full economic cost. Applications can be made at any time.
Programme grants provide large, long-term and renewable programme funding for researchers working in the area of neurosciences and mental health research. They aim to help the medical science community to ‘think bigger’. Programme grants are awarded to UK-based research organisations and applications are typically for funding of £1 million or more for programmes that last up to five years. Pre-announcement: Research into Inclusive Ageing.
Grants of £750,000 - £2,000,000 will be made available for research into inclusive aging. Research which involves co-investigators from business, third sector or government organisations where appropriate are encouraged. Research projects must be innovative and focus on social and economic inequalities that affect people in later life or ways to improve inclusivity in later life.
Projects are anticipated to start in June 2022 and to last from 36 to 60 months. For more information visit:

This programme will award grants of up to £10,000 for community projects that reduce isolation and promote integration; supporting post-Covid recovery in local Armed Forces communities affected by isolation. The round one application deadline is midday on 12 April 2021. For more information visit:

Every three months, the Foundation will share £10,000 between 5 shortlisted projects that have a positive impact on communities, people or the environment. Applications must be on behalf of a local community group, charity, voluntary group or social enterprise that has a positive impact on communities, people or the environment and has an average income of less than £50,000 in the last 12 months. Applications can be submitted all year round. Funding will be awarded every three months, in April, July, October and January, with an application deadline of the 15th of the month before.
