We are delighted to welcome some big names from the world of Rural Politics including Helen Morgan (Lib Dem, North Shropshire) who will be talking about Rural Affordable Housing and Selaine Saxby (Con, North Devon) who will be addressing the issue of Rural Transport.

Alongside our MPs, we will be hearing from industry leaders who understand the challenges facing rural areas.  Lucy Baker from BT, Bryn Jones from Digital Mobile Spectrum and Rachel Corner from SWS Broadband will be looking at how crucial digital connectivity is for rural areas and how it could unlock up to £15bn for the economy.

As the Government deadline for phasing out fossil fuel replacements for rural off-grid homes looms, Northern Powergrid will be joined by colleagues from the energy industry to discuss the best solution for rural areas and how these communities could be trailblazers in the race to 2050.

The RSN is also delighted to welcome our third sector colleagues to the rural debate.  Following their herculean efforts during the pandemic, the world of politics has finally started to understand their value and the importance of their voice in these conversations.
