RSP Member - YMCA Lincolnshire

At YMCA Lincolnshire we believe every person is of equal value and should be given the support and guidance they need to ensure they can reach their full potential. We work with people of all ages and backgrounds in a variety of different ways to support our local communities, making them into places where people can truly belong is our focus.

We work in 6 key areas; Communities, Day CareYouth WorkEmergency AccommodationHousing and Training, whilst also running RetailConferencing and Climbing facilities to help fund our services in Lincolnshire.

YMCA Lincolnshire is part of a much wider movement both nationally and internationally and, while retaining local autonomy, we often benefit from the strength and resources of the national movement. In 2013 YMCA Lincolnshire was joined with The Nomad Trust, a Lincoln-based homelessness charity and in 2019 YMCA Lincolnshire was also joined with Community Lincs.

YMCA Lincolnshire works in partnership with local, regional and national organisations and helps the community in a number of different ways, including:

  • Communities – through Good Neighbour Schemes, TED Ageing Better Programme and Community support and advice
  • Youth Work – through training and The Showroom Activity and Climbing Centres
  • Training – through general CPD and health and exercise qualifications
  • Housing – through the YMCA Hostel & The Nomad Centre
  • Childcare – through YMCA Beginnings and YMCA Woodlands Day Care
  • Retail – through The Nomad Trust charity shop

Our mission statement, which underpins all of the work we undertake is:

“Our mission, based on Christian Values, is to develop the mind, body and spirit of individuals, families and communities and improve health and wellbeing for all.”

In line with our mission statement, our ethos is to: show care and respect for any individual with whom we come into contact, whether that be on a activity programme for one day or a resident living with us for a longer period of time.
